“Strikes every right note, incorporating classic folk, pop and even a little punk rebellion.” – USA TODAY
“Self assured and deceptively mature.” – WORLD CAFÉ
“Soulful.” – WALL STREET JOURNAL
Are just some of the ways the music worlds Press has described Anthony D’Amato’s talent.
D’Amato has come a long way recording homemade DIY albums “Down Wires (2010)” and “Paper Back Bones (2012)” in his Princeton University college dorm room.
After taking a different approach and veering away from the homemade DIY production style that marked his early work, in 2013 D’Amato signed with New West Records. After a long and crazy journey, taking a gigantic leap of faith and having no idea where these songs would take him, he recorded his new album, “The Shipwreck From The Shore”, at the Great North Sound Society in Maine with producer Sam Kassirer (Josh Ritter, Langhorne Slim) and members of Bon Iver and Megafaun.
After a whirlwind tour across ten countries in Europe last year supporting his first two albums, he is now on tour with Grammy award winning “Mumford and Sons” on their “Gentlemen of the Road Stopman show”. We absolutely cannot wait for Anthony D’Amato to hit Australian soil and rock songs from his new “Captivating and Catchy” album “The Shipwreck From The Shore” at our Light Of Day festival in July.
