Joe Creighton

For the past four years, Into The Mystic has played solidly to increasing sell-out crowds across the country!
Fronted by Joe Creighton, who is arguably one of this country’s finest bass players, it is his vocals that have cemented him as a formidable talent and front man after stepping out of the shadows as bassist and backing vocals for icons such as Kylie Minogue, Olivia Newton-John and John Farnham

Joe Creighton first came to prominance in ‘76 when he formed the iconic band ‘Billy T’ with Ross Hannaford of ‘Daddy Cool’ fame and recorded the album “No Definitions”. Shortly after this he hooked up with Mark Gillespie to create the “Only Human” album. The great success of this album established an important part of Joe’s career as a much sought after session musician. Joe went on to help many artists with their projects as bassist, singer, arranger and producer.

In ‘89 John Farnham enticed Joe onto the big concert stage. This was the beginning of a musical relationship which went on for another 13 years recording many albums. On the “Chain Reaction” album John Farnham recorded one of Joe’s original songs “The Time Has Come”.

Joe has toured internationally with both Kylie Minogue and Olivia Newton John and shared the stage Sir George Martin, on his ‘All You Need Is Love’ tour, taking lead vocals on some of those great Beatles songs, and with Boz Scaggs on his Australian tour, and as a ‘Raylette’ on tour with the legendary Ray Charles.

Closer to home Joe’s work can be heard across many  award winning Australian artists albums and his live performances have been witnessed by tens of thousands live on stage  with acts such as Crowded House, Lee Kernaghan, Judith Durham, Rick Price, Tim Finn, LRB, The Black Sorrows, and the late Mark Hunter and Billy Thorpe and many more.
