“Wayne Jury’s music can evoke strong emotions. His exceptional voice has the power, the technical strength and the main ingredient – absolutely heartfelt soul.” Frankie Lee, ABC Sydney.
Wayne Jury returned to hometown Geelong in 2007 after 30 years as a Sydney based singer/songwriter. He has performed all over Australia opening shows for blues greats Robert Cray, Albert Collins, Canned Heat, B.B. King and Buddy Guy. While being signed to the Alberts label (alongside AC DC, Vanda & Young, Rose Tattoo, The Angels etc.) he wrote and recorded prolifically, including a solo album with guitarist/producer John Brewster (the Angels).
For 7 years he toured as lead singer and guitarist with guitar prodigy Nathan Cavaleri. Today he continues to perform solo and with various musical combos in his distinctive blues and roots style.
“Wayne Jury is one of the best blues singers in this country.”
Michael Smith, Drum Media Sydney.
